In terms of provision of section 21 of the Telecommunication Act No.25 of 1991 as amended by Act No.27 of 1996, No person shall by way of trade manufacture, import sale, offer for sale, deal in, transfer, hire, lease, demonstrate, maintain or repair of any telecommunications apparatus except under the authority of a licence issued by the Telecommunication Regulation Commission. |
This measure is applicable for Importing of Telecommunication and Radio-Communication Equipment. A license must be applied for and application of the Vendors License is only through the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission. |
