Application Form.

Clear photographic / graphic representations or drawings / tracings of the Industrial Design and attach three copies to the application form.

 

Process Steps

Step 1

Submit an application with the relevant documents and prescribed fee.( click here for fee)

Step 2

Application is reviewed.

Step 3

If the Industrial Design is novel, applicants will be notified to pay publication fee. The designs will be published in Government Gazette in Sinhala, Tamil and English after receiving the fees.

Step 4

If there are no objections from a third party within two months of the Gazette Publication, the Design is registered. If the design is not novel, the application will be rejected.
