Process Steps
Step 1
|
Submit a Duly filled application and Application for a permit to import planting material, seeds and plant products, should be forwarded to:
- For Coconut Kernel importers - Director (Processing & Development) three days prior for arrival in the local port to arrange inspections.
- For Bristle Fibre importers - Director- Marketing Development and Research -CDA three days prior for arrival in the local port to arrange inspections.

Step 2
|
The container containing the product should be made available to CDA inspector/Authorized officers for inspection at the port of entry.

Step 3
|
After the inspections the container will be released and shall securely be transported to the proposed factory site for further processing.

*Note
- Coconut Kernel - Imported Coconut Kernel shall only be used to manufacture intended product at proposed site/s as declared in Form 02.
- Bristle Fibre - Imported bristle fibre shall only be used to manufacture intended product at proposed site/s as declared in Form 04 . Any deviation with regard to the declaration should be communicated to CDA in advance with a written amendment. Procedure followed by Plant Quarantine Service and Coconut Research Institute at the port shall be included.
