Certificate of  Incorporation

The process of exports has to be included in the objectives of the Company Articles.  If not those companies have to submit a resolution passed by the Board of Directors of the Company for the company’s intention for exports.

Registration of a Company – Form 01/Form 40 (Certified by the Department of   Registrar of Companies.)

If there is a change of address after Form 01, please submit the Form 13.

Application should be signed by a Director of the Board of  Director of the Company along with  the company rubber seal on the Column No. 12.

A Photo Copy of the National Identity Card of the Director who  signed the application.

Letter of request issued by the Director of the Board of  Director  addressed to the Director- Trade Facilitation & Trade Information.

Step 1

Applicant should submit a duly filled application form together with aforesaid required documentation.

Step 2

Application will be sent to the Director Trade Facilitation & Trade Information Division, Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB).

Step 3

EDB will do the process of the document submitted 

Step 4

If charges are applicable, exporter should do the payment.

Step 5

When Payment Completed by applicant EDB issues the Registration Certificate

The exporters should submit Certifications/Licenses of relevant Organizations to issue the EDB Registration for Tea, Gems & Jewellery, Mineral Sands, Coconut Products, Wooden products, Fisheries products and Chemicals etc.
