  1.  Comprehensive list of equipment intend to import
  2. Proforma Invoice/Custom Detention Receipt
  3. Technical specifications of the equipment listed in (a) above
  4. Evidence of authorization of frequency approved by TRCSL (if applicable)

  1. Proof of settlement of the Tax Invoice in full (if applicable)
  2. Commercial Invoice
  3. Copy of the Import Licence
  4. Copy of the Proforma Invoice –Item 1(a)
  5. Copy of the letter issued by TRCSL  to the applicant, addressed to the Controller/Imports & Exports allowing the importation of equipment mentioned Item

 

 

Process Steps

Step 1

Applicant should submit a duly filled application form together with aforesaid required documentation. Telecommunication Regulation Commission reviews application and if it’s not complete informs applicant to provide the missing documents as soon as possible.

Step 2

Application will be sent to the Ministry of Defense for clearance if needed.

Step 3

TRCSL will issue a no objection letter to the applicant, addressed to the Controller/Imports & Exports allowing the importation of equipment

Step 4

Tax Invoice would be prepared and rendered to the applicant by TRCSL (if charges are applicable)

Step 5

The TRCSL will issue a no objection letter to the applicant, addressed to the Director General of Customs on submission of documents stated in Item 2 of the above table.

 Step 6

When Payment Completed by applicant Telecommunication Regulation Commission issues the Vendor License

 

Note:

In case of mobile phone/data modem importation, TRCSL will issue a Reference Number, which should be pasted on the box of the mobile phone/data modem, in a form of a sticker for customer’s reference. Periodical inspection will be carried out by the Officers of TRCSL for the verification of whether the Reference Numbers are attached.
