Camouflage items

Clearance of camouflage items

Application should be forwarded through the ministry of textile or board of investment of Sri Lanka with their recommendation, to get approval, for the printing, manufacture, import or export of camouflage material/products.

Import of camouflage material

Two A4 size sample of material should be submitted to the Ministry of Defence, with the copies of invoices and other relevant documents

Export of camouflage materials

A sample of manufacture product or garment should be submitted to the Ministry of Defence with the relevant Documents.

Outboard / Inboard Boat engines
Import licence for outboard/inboard boat engines
 

Following details with the recommendation of the relevant authorities should be submitted to the Ministry of Defence to obtain approval to import Outboard/Inboard Motors

Recommending Authorities

a. Fisheries activities - Ministry of fisheries& Aquatic Resources.

b. Sport Activities - Ministry of Sport and youth affairs

c. Tourism Purpose - Ministry of Tourism

Air Craft Spares

Import licence for Air Craft spares

Importation of spare parts for Air Crafts depends on the certification by the chairman of Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka Request should be channeled through Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka.

Clearance for UN and other International Agencies

Clearance of security items for un and other international agencies

Application should be channeled through the ministry of Foreign Affairs to get approval of the Ministry of Defence to clear Security Items .Copies of certificate of clearance or Air way bills and invoices should be forwarded Clearance of cargo (Civil)

Permission to berth Merchant Vessels is granted for the following.

1. To discharge Security Cargo consigned to the armed forces and he Police.

2. To Discharge containers for onward transshipments.

3. For in -transit shipments of Dangerous Cargo.

4. To carry arms and ammunition onboard under the custody of the master of the ship of the vessel being berth.

Diplomatic Clearance

Requests should be forwarded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for vessels / Aircrafts / helicopters belonging to other countries to Sri Lankan waters over-fly.

Dangerous Cargo Clearance

Issue of permits for shipments carrying dangerous cargo to enter the ports of Sri Lanka for discharge/ transshipments or in-transit cargo.

Following information should be furnished by the shipping lines and clearing agents.

a. Name and the voyage number of the vessel.

b. Expected date of arrival.

c. Port of loading and port of Destination.

d. Name of commodity. SLPA Page- group and IMO- Page Group.

e. Quantity of commodity in the weight.

f. Container numbers.

g. Copy of bill of lading

h. Whether the cargo is for in-transit/transshipment /discharge or clearance.
